The Contemporary Dayton Announces

The Dayton Studio Tour and After Party

October 10, 2026

DAYTON, OH — September 22, 2026 — The Contemporary Dayton is excited to announce the Dayton Studio Tour, taking place Saturday, October 10, from 11 am–4 pm. The community-wide event invites the public to visit artists in their studios and experience the creative spaces where artwork is made.

Studios throughout the Dayton area will participate in the self-guided tour, offering visitors an opportunity to meet artists, see works in progress, learn more about their practices, and connect directly with Dayton’s vibrant arts community.

A digital map of participating studios, available on our website, will help visitors plan their day and create their own tour route. Whether exploring one studio or several, attendees can experience the breadth of artistic practices and creative communities throughout the Dayton area.

“Artists are at the heart of Dayton’s creative community, and the Studio Tour offers a different way to experience their work,” said Heather Jones, Interim Director and Chief Curator of The Contemporary Dayton. “Opening studio doors gives the public a chance to see where and how artists work, have conversations with them, and build connections that extend beyond the gallery.”

The day will conclude with a Dayton Studio Tour After Party at The Contemporary Dayton from 5–7 pm. The celebration will bring participating artists and members of the community together to share their experiences from the day and continue the conversation around Dayton’s creative community.

The Dayton Studio Tour is free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to explore the map in advance and plan their own route.
