The Procurement Pathways: Strategies, Connections, and Financing for Scaling Your Business proved to be a triumph event. The event was held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, 6:00PM – 8:00PM at the University of Dayton Boesch Lounge, 1801 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd., Dayton. There were over 70 people in attendance which included agency representatives, academic and educational leadership, banking representatives, professors, business professionals, college Students, entrepreneurs, and more. The event was designed and successful in meeting its goal of connecting small businesses, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals.

The emcee was the remarkable Sharon White. Attendees gained insights into supplier engagement and procurement opportunities. They also participated in an expert panel discussion on best practices where an informative question and answer period provided insight, sage advice, clarity and understanding of the procurement process for working with buyers. Attendees also had the opportunity to connect directly with procurement professionals from public and private organizations. A fireside chat consisted of representatives from two business projects, Ruscilli Construction and Gracious Manor, who shared their procurement processing experience. Emphasis was also placed on how authentic business relationships and friendships help to promote and grow your business. Attendees also had the opportunity to have a Headshot taken.

Featured presenters included Dr. Eric Spina, President of the University of Dayton, Jacqueline Gamblin, CEO and Founder of JYG Innovations, Asia Speights, Founder and CEO of Ce’more, Donerik Black, Director of the ECDI – Economic and Community Development Institute, and Kyle Kolopanis, Director of Purchasing and Central Services of Montgomery County, Ohio.

The Procurement Pathways event was hosted collaboratively by the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, the Minority Business Assistance Center - Dayton Region, University of Dayton, Greater West Dayton Incubator, and the National Black MBA Association Dayton Chapter.
